Senator Victor Umeh, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has expressed his intention to run for Senate in 2023 to represent Anambra Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly's Red Chambers on the APGA platform.
Senator Umeh expressed his interest in the 109 wards of the Anambra Central Senatorial District before the 545 APGA main officers.
Senator Umeh told the Anambra Central ward executive in his country home of Aguluzigbo that his purpose is to serve the entire Igbo nation, not only the Anambra Central Senatorial District.
He emphasized the importance of Ndigbo sending courageous people to the Senate with a loud voice, assuring quality representation, particularly on problems concerning the Igbo extraction, such as the structural imbalance that has undermined the nation's peace and unity.
Senator Umeh promised not to disappoint Ndi Anambra Central and to use his wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise to attract greater development to the SouthEast region, describing the support from Anambra Central stakeholders as "unanimous and overwhelming."
Senator Umeh has done well with every feeling of responsibility as a party man, according to the Ward Chairman of Chairmen in Anambra state, Mr. Uchenna Ezeoke.
He reassured him of their support and emphasized the importance of APGA demonstrating its strength in the upcoming general election.
According to Chief Theofine Nnoli, APGA Vice Chairman Central, the Anambra Central Senatorial District has the best in senators and cannot afford to miss out on this opportunity to create a precedent, as was done in the governorship election in Anambra State.
Mrs Ethel Atuokwu, the woman leader of Umuoji ward, said the ladies are satisfied with Senator Umeh's decision and pledged their unwavering support, while Mr Amaechi Uzodigwe, the chairman of Ukwulu ward two, asked party members to help APGA become stronger by generating leaders of good qualities.
The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Woman Leader, and Youth Leader are the five key officers.
