Catholic Diocese of Enugu disassociates self from the utterances of Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka against Mr Peter Obi the presidential candidate of Labour party.
The Enugu Diocese in a letter release this evening condemned the attack on Obi and said it is against canon code 220 and in violation of canon code 287.
They condemned and disassociate themselves from the statement made by Rve Fr. Ejike Mbaka and notify the general public that Mbaka's views on the matter are entirely personal to him and do not represent the position of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu.
They further urge all the people of God to continue to pray for a peaceful election and to discharge their civic responsibilities by getting their Permanent Voter's Card and casting their voters in order to elect the right candidates
