A former senator that represented Kaduna Central Senatorial zone in the 8th assembly, Senator Shehu Sani advised the ruling party the All Progressive Congress to feature a southern presidential candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
According to the Human rights Activist, it's better to lose the election than to lose the country.
Shehu who was a PDP governorship aspirant in Kaduna State in the just concluded primaries, though he lost out.
Shehu was also a leading figure in the struggle for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria.
He opined that all the Northern candidates for the two major parties are not good for the purpose of peace and stability of Nigeria.
